  • Improve & Develop – analyze usage patterns, fix bugs, and add new features.
  • Communicate – send transactional emails (e.g., receipts, service updates) and, with your consent, occasional product announcements.
  • Comply with Legal Obligations – satisfy applicable laws, regulations, and contractual requirements.

We rely on the following legal bases (where applicable): performance of a contract, legitimate interests (e.g., security, product improvement), consent (for marketing), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. How We Share & Disclose Information

We disclose information only as described below:

  • Service Providers – Supabase (authentication & database), Stripe (payment processing), cloud infrastructure and logging providers, who process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations. We may also share web data during scraping with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI, and Fireworks AI as part of our AI scraper.
  • Legal & Safety – to comply with law, court orders, or protect the rights, property, or safety of DocMap, our users, or the public.
  • Business Transfers – in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. We will notify you of any such change.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

5. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use essential, first‑party cookies to:

  • Maintain authentication state (session cookies)
  • Protect against cross‑site request forgery (CSRF)

These cookies are required for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. We do not use third‑party advertising or tracking cookies.

  • Account & Subscription Data: retained while your account is active.
  • Payment Records: retained for at least seven years to comply with financial regulations.
  • Scraped Content: stored and deleted upon request.

Despite our efforts, no transmission or storage system is 100% secure. Please use strong, unique passwords and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized account activity.
